Welcome back to my blog!, "Can't add script behavior levelreset. The script needs to derive from monobehavior!". The only issues that I had this week with Unity was the fact that #c visual studio was not working for me. I have absolutely no idea why. My code is an exact match to the one in the tutorial that I watched by Jimmy Vegas and yet, it still throws up this error every time I want to apply the script to a scene onto a object. By the end I realized that without this, my game is quite behind in terms of #c. I have it all done but I cannot apply the #c to anything because this error keeps popping up. I followed the tutorial exactly and I'm at a loss on this. Although everything else has be done properly for this weeks unity tutorial. I found he tutorial is be very engaging and informative to watch. I just wish that I had gotten my #c working properly by now. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed following along with this tut...
Hey Isabel! I think you made a really good Dundoc it's got a lot of information in it and gets your game idea across really well. I really like the animated look you're going for that's really unique and it's great that you did your research there so well done. The aim of the game to help children develop their social and educational skills is really cool I think that'll appeal to a huge audience as I'm sure it will attract a a lot of parents looking to help their kids develop in a fun interactive way. The aspect of allowing the kids to create their own characters is a great way to let them explore their creative sides and bring their made up characters to life. I like how you've included 3 worlds into the game too. The actual layout of your Dundoc is really good in my opinion I think you did a really good job answering all the sections. The navigation for the game seems simple which is great for your target audience, I also like the graphics of your game and how you included a lot of reference pictures to give an idea of what you're going for. Best of luck with it all!
ReplyDeleteHi Isabel!
ReplyDeleteYou have made a very good Game Design Document on your Dundoc with a lot of content explaining your game. It has nice colorful look that will be good for your target audience. I really like the idea of when children play this game, they will create their own story and characters as each player's stories and characters will be different from each other. The goal of it helping children improve their social and educational is very clever and I feel it will attract players to try your game. The three different world types is smart as players will have a new experience through each stage. The game architecture is good as you seem you know the beginning, middle and end of your game. The images you have chosen is good as it gives a good idea of how your game is going to look. I really enjoyed reading your Game Design Document and look forward to seeing the final game.

I love the art design you have chosen and I think it will suit really well with your idea and concept. I enjoyed reading all about your level design and the game architecture, they sound like they will mix perfectly and will end up looking really good. I think the characters are great and I cant wait to see how they all turn out at the end and who I connect with the most. reading through this document really gave me a good idea of exactly what you want and I look forward to seeing if it turns out as I good as I think it will
Hey Isabel
ReplyDeleteI think you game design document are really great, it is very informative and have lots of interesting ideas. Your animation is really cool and unique and I've seen that you did plenty of research. I think your target audience is very clear to children to develop their social and educational skills. I think it will be a wide range of both children and parent who seeks to develop their education skills. Very interesting idea! Letting the player to create their own character is a good idea to improve children creativities and to develop their influences. With 3 different world is very cool as the player will get to explore different types of stages in the game. The images/ graphic you have chosen for gives very good view of how your game will look. I've enjoyed reading through your document and I really looking forward on your development. Good luck!
