Feedback On Peers Final Project

Image
Final Project Completed Sources, Google images ; Today, I will be discussing the feedback that I will be giving to one of my fellow students who has completed their multimedia project. Today there was a chance to check out everyone's and every group's game or multimedia project. I was able to go around and actually play some peoples games. From this, I'm supposed to pick one fellow peers project and give feedback on it. I chose to give feedback on Dani Nolans multimedia project game. I decided to discuss her game because I felt that it was very impressive in terms of functionality and design.  I find her game to be really well done because it shows her skills and ability. The game works functionally and looks interesting and unique. The game is where you play as a character and you fight these creatures in order to pass the level but you also have to tackle the obstacles that stand in your way. I find this approach to the game design to be quite fun and creative. Th

Sources,   Google images ; In this week's blog, I will be discussing our Beta for the game and what is working and what is going wrong as well as how I'm meeting the targets that were set in the plan for me. This was an important week for the multimedia project as we had an opportunity to showcase all of the work that we have done so far and get some much-needed feedback on it. I think that everything went okay for what we were going for when presenting. Although perhaps we should have more visuals to convey our idea for our game.   My role was 'Asset management' under the level design team. Each week I would collect possible assets that would be used in the game and in the previous week I calculated a possible budget if one was needed. I put the price of every asset that costs money in the list document too. I have managed to stay on track will the targets that were set up for me through the use of the calendar each week.  What is working is the Asset list an

Update - Week 11

In Today's blog, I will be discussing what I did for this week for our project and what task I have completed for the development of the game. This week we all met up on Thursday to discuss what we have all completed so far and what needs to be done soon. Last week a calendar was drawn up in order to keep track of what is due and when.  This was done so each member of the team knew what they needed to do and by what date it was to be finished.  This week I updated the Asset list by adding the price of all of the assets that you have to pay for. I did this so that you would straight away know how much the individual asset costs and you have it all in one document.  I thought that this was a good idea because that way it would be easy to keep track of the cost of the assets. All of the assets that you have to pay for are all under ten euro as if we were to pay for assets this would ensure our budget wouldn't become unmanageable. I added up the cost of all the assets that are in

I have compiled a document of all the assets that I have found up to this point and I included the assets that Nathan found in the document as well. This week I focused on finding specific assets and I have to find exterior buildings that would be suitable to include in our game. First I researched what type of buildings would work for the game. Once I did that, I found quite a few buildings that would be suitable as well as some other assets too. Some of the assets were free while others you had to pay for but, I made sure to keep the price under ten euro as the budget has yet to be set, if needed. I did find some really good assets that would work quite well for the game. The image above will showcase one of the free assets that I found for exterior buildings that were really good. I found this, in parti

In to days blog, I will be discussing what my role is in the project since the roles have been altered and I will go through what I have produced for the project so far. On Wednesday and Thursday we had a meeting in which we sorted out our roles, storyline of the game, character creation, art style, assets etc. Some roles in the group have been changed because we only have a limited amount of time to create the game. I will now be working closely along with the art group and with James and Chris. The group will now be meeting with each other every Thursday and possibly on Wednesdays if needs be. This is where we work together and to discuss the project further. My role for our game is asset management. I have to find suitable assets for the game and keep note of the ones that I find. I first researched what type of architecture, vehicles, streets were around during this time. I did this in order to find assets that are historically accurate for this time period. I did find it dif
