Assignments Post

First Impressions:


I'm really intrigued by our group project phase 1 module assignment. It's a group project with four people. We choose our own groups. We base who we choose for our groups on our interest, skill set and ideas. I found this very interesting to do because we had to research and create a concept board expressing our individual ideas for the project and what we could bring to the assignment. This was a fun task to do because I enjoyed making a concept for my 'visually creativity' module last year. I'm excited by the visual design fundamentals assignment too because its what interests me personally. This module includes what I find interesting to achieve the most. This is very different to other what I have done in other classes because I have never done any type of tasks that are similar to this in my other modules as of yet. It's kind of similar to other tasks that I had to do in my other modules because I had to research topics and discuss and compare them to each other. Overall it's quite different though.
                     The extra credit task that grabs my attention is the HEART task. This is where you explore health, happiness, empathy, attention and reading time relating to the growth mindset topic. I would be interested in doing this task because I found the whole Growth Mindset topic very intriguing to write about and explore.

Introduction Post: The best class that I took last semester was 'Design Process & Practice'. I really enjoyed this module last semester because I found it to be very interesting and creative. I really enjoyed using the program, 'Illustrator' when I was making posters, leaflets and some lab task work. I found it to be exciting because it was a module where I could let my creativity fly! I also found the group assignment to be informative and fun. I found working in a group to be an experience which intrigued me. I worked on projects in a group for an assignment and we would meet up and describe our ideas and do brainstorms. Final Game Design Document

I have completed my final GDD (Game Design Document). My previous GDD didn't have enough detailed information in it where I would be able to hand it over to games developer and programmer. It would have not been enough information for my game to be produced and made the way that I wanted. Therefore I updated my DunDoc . Game Vision Statement

Welcome back to my blog! Today, I will be discussing my chosen game genre and what the game-play of my game will be like. The genre that I chosen for my game is a children's interactive educational story based game. The style of the game will be simplistic yet, cute meaning that I will have 'cute' looking characters in my game to appeal to children. The game will be colourful and 'animated' looking meaning, it won't have a realistic style to it. I believe choosing this type of style will appeal to my target audience for my game. My game will be story-based which means that the player will choose from a list of choices in response to for example; a question or a route that they may take.                There will be many interesting tasks and choices that the player must make in order to not bore the player resulting in the player quitting the game before completing it.
